Diagnostic Medical Sonographer

Summary of responsibilities
Reporting to the Director, Diagnostic Services; the sonographer will organize and perform Abd/Gyn studies, and small part examinations; maintain and document high quality images; practice good patient care. The incumbent will be responsible for various technical aspects in the operation, calibration and testing of equipment.

Requirements of the job
- Current registration with CMRTO in good standing
- Current registration with Sonography Canada
- Certified in abdomen/pelvis and obstetrical
- Experience in Vascular studies
- Recent Relevant Experience
- Excellent computer skills and good working knowledge of HIS, Ris, and PACS
- Demonstrated effective communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving, decision making and organizational skills
- Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work well with multiple interruptions
- Ability to work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Must meet physical demands of position including lifting over 60 lbs. and withstand constant standing and/or walking
- Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality
- Current certification in BCLS
- Demonstrated regular/punctual attendance
- Demonstrated commitment to patient safety
**Job Type**: Fixed term contract
Pay: $36.84-$51.77 per hour
