Primary Responsibilities:

- Perform Steel Takeoffs: Analyze design drawings to accurately determine the quantity of steel required for a project.
- Identify Steel and Metal Requirements: Precisely identify the specific steel and other metal materials needed for fabrication.
- Collaborate Across Departments: Work closely with various departments to ensure adherence to detailing, purchasing, engineering, erection, scheduling, fabrication, coatings, shipping, and installation requirements.
- Proactively Identify Project Issues: Identify and address potential issues that may arise during the course of a project.
- Obtain Subcontract Bids: Seek and secure bids for subcontracted requirements related to the project.
- Seek Structural Steel Fabrication Opportunities: Actively search for new opportunities in the field of structural steel fabrication.
- Prepare and Follow-Up on Quotations: Prepare accurate quotations for metal fabrication projects and diligently follow up on them.
- Foster Departmental Collaboration: Promote effective collaboration and coordination with all relevant departments.

Qualifications:

- Drawing Interpretation and Software Proficiency: Experience in comprehending drawings, including erection and shop drawings, as well as utilizing software programs specific to the industry.
- Steel Detailing Experience: Previous experience in steel detailing is advantageous.
- Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Organizational Skills and Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ideal: Engineering background
- Mandatory: 5+ Years Steel Experience

**Salary**: $90,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
