Duncan, Canada JPD Contacting Inc. Full time

JPD Contracting is currently seeking a Carpenter with a minimum of 1 year of experience to join our team in Duncan, BC. In this role, you will be responsible for executing a variety of carpentry projects including framing, rough carpentry, and finishing work.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurately complete carpentry projects according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Assemble structures and fixtures such as windows, frames, floorings, trim, and roofing
- Use hand and power tools to cut and shape materials like wood, plastic, and composites
- Follow strict safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment
- Collaborate with other trades and construction professionals to ensure projects are delivered on time and to a high standard

**Requirements**:

- 1 year of experience in carpentry
- WHIMS and Fall Protection certifications
- Strong ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of hand and power tools, materials, and safety regulations
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude

**Salary**: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Holidays
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Duncan, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
