VMAC is seeking to fill one full-time, permanent Mechanical Assembler, reporting directly to the Production Supervisor, Core and Vehicle Integrated Products.
**Responsibilities**:
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to**:
- Follow current drawings when assembling products.
- Rebuild and repair products where required.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks.
- Improve efficiency and quality assembly processes.
- Follow Production Schedule and prioritize daily work, accordingly, communicating any bottlenecks or flow problems to Production Supervisor.
- Test and identify all assembled products where required.
- Liaise with the Parts Department to ensure adequate supply of parts.
- Report on spoilage, stock damage, shrinkage, and inventory inaccuracies.
- Monitor inventory levels and report on outages, low or overstock quantities.
- Ensure the efficient and economical utilization of facilities for storing and distributing goods.
- Participate in periodic physical inventory counts.
- Participate in the development and implementation of department objectives.
- Liaise with other departments internally and externally to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as required.
**Qualifications and Experience**:
- Assertive self-starter and excellent work ethic.
- Excellent written English and verbal communication skills.
- High energy level with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- High School Diploma or college/vocational or technical training and experience.
- 1-3 Years of experience in relevant field.
- General mechanical knowledge considered an asset.
- Capable of reading detailed assembly drawings.
- Must be comfortable in a fast-paced work environment and possess good interpersonal skills.
