Purpose:
The Landscape and Construction Labourer is responsible for performing a large variety of work tasks (usually physical labour) assisting with landscape maintenance and construction projects. The Landscape and Construction Labourer will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks.
**Job Summary -Landscape and Construction Labourer**
Complete tasks as planned with a focus on working safely and in a responsible manner, providing quality work and production service excellence. Must comply with current health and safety regulations, wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times, communicate with customers and co-workers in a polite and courteous manner, and maintain standards of cleanliness and organization in trucks, trailers, equipment, job sites, and shop areas.
**Job Tasks**:
a) Install mulch, soil, grass seed, changes to garden bed layouts including planting and maintaining garden beds and lawns
b) Construction of walkways and patios, stone walls, greenhouses, etc.
c) Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment required to complete landscape construction projects using shovels, wheelbarrows, carts, dollies, and hand lifting/carrying
d) Operate various hand tools and power equipment
**Qualifications and Skills Required**:

- Ability to work independently and part of a team with attention to detail, follow instructions, perform work quickly and efficiently while walking, standing, or crouching for long periods of time and complete strenuous physical tasks.
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, small engine equipment, heavy equipment, and materials
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly through an entire work shift
- Excellent stamina is required
- Work outdoors in various conditions including heat and humidity, rain, dust, noise, and cold
, Hourly Contract Schedule: 10 hour shifts Monday to Friday
- Must be flexible working hours including occasional weekend work

Experience: Landscaping: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification: Class 5 (preferred experience driving Dump Truck and Bobcat)

Work remotely: No

**Job Types**: Fixed term contract, Seasonal

**Salary**: $23.00-$30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability
