Learn to Skate

The Learn to Skate & Learn to Play Supervisor is responsible for the development and delivery of the curriculum for their program, onboarding and training instructors, and for the general safety, security and enjoyment of skating for participants in the program. We are seeking a responsible, organized, and energetic person, who works well with a variety of ages (children and adults) and who are committed to providing a safe environment for our participants. The supervisor will be required to teach in addition to the administration and sales of the programs. Experience in coaching and instruction of children 4-16 years old and 17+ is an asset.
- **Duties**:
- Develop and implement an onboarding process for learn to skate & play instructors
- Design and deliver curriculum for the program
- Schedule staffing as required
- Ensure facility and equipment are prepared for all activities by preparing equipment, communicating set-up needs in advance
- Ensure completion of all adiministrative paperwork including curriculums, lesson plans, incident reports, staff evaluations and participant feedback forms
- Maintain positive relationships with parents/guardians of children, responding to concerns
- Ensure that all participants are treated with fairness, respect and understanding
- Assist with the creation of marketing materials and promotion of the programs
**Experience**
Three to five years instructing learn to skate & play programs to children and adults. Experience instructing in a university environment preferred. Consistent reliability and professionalism is required.

**Skills**
- Teaching and/or leadership
- Skating
- Responsible, energetic, customer service, adaptability and strong teamwork skills are required
**Salary**: $35,000.00-$40,000.00 per year

Ability to commute/relocate:
- Thornhill, ON L4J 8X9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
**Experience**:
- Learn to Skate Coaching: 3 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- First Aid Certification (preferred)
