**Responsibilities**:

- Preparing, cooking and presenting high quality dishes within the speciality section according to recipe book and pictures
- Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
- Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Check quality of ingredients
- Clean food prep areas, equipment, utensils and strictly adhere to sanitation, food safety, hygiene, and other health and safety guidelines
- Managing and training any second cook within the section
- Other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 4 years experience in a similar position as a first cook in fine dining restaurant
- Experience with charcoal and wood grill a plus
- Ability to take direction and work calmly and effectively under pressure
- Able to spend 100% of the time standing
- Must be fluent in English or French and 18 years or older
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- Must be able to adapt to different environments and speeds, as business flows can fluctuate greatly
- Presents a clean-cut, neat and professional image
- Ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
- Has an excellent understanding of time management
- A positive and collaborative team player attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, overnight hours and holidays

**Responsabilités**:

- Préparer, cuisiner et présenter des plats de haute qualité dans la section des spécialités selon le livre de recettes et les photos.
- Mettre en place les postes de travail avec tous les ingrédients et le matériel de cuisine nécessaires.
- Préparer les ingrédients à utiliser en cuisine (hacher et éplucher les légumes, couper les viandes, etc.)
- Assurer une bonne présentation en dressant les plats avant qu'ils ne soient servis.
- Maintenir un environnement aseptisé et ordonné dans la cuisine.
- Veiller à ce que tous les aliments et autres articles soient stockés correctement.
- Vérifier la qualité des ingrédients
- Nettoyer les zones de préparation des aliments, les équipements, les ustensiles et respecter strictement les règles d'assainissement, de sécurité alimentaire, d'hygiène et autres directives en matière de santé et de sécurité.

- Autres tâches ou responsabilités assignées ou requises.

**Exigences**:

- Au moins 4 ans d'expérience dans un poste similaire en tant que premier cuisinier dans un restaurant gastronomique.
- Expérience des grillades au charbon de bois et au bois un plus
- Capacité à recevoir des instructions et à travailler calmement et efficacement sous pression.
- Capable de passer 100% du temps debout
- Parler couramment l'anglais ou le français et être âgé de 18 ans ou plus.
- Excellentes aptitudes à la communication, aux relations interpersonnelles et à l'organisation
- Doit être capable de s'adapter à des environnements et à des rythmes différents, car les flux d'affaires peuvent fluctuer considérablement.
- Présenter une image propre, soignée et professionnelle.
- Capacité à effectuer plusieurs tâches à la fois et à rester calme et professionnel dans un environnement en évolution rapide.
- Avoir une excellente compréhension de la gestion du temps
- Avoir une attitude positive et collaborer avec les autres membres de l'équipe
- Flexibilité pour travailler sur différents quarts de travail, y compris les week-ends, les soirées, les heures de nuit et les jours fériés.
