We are currently hiring a Karate Black belt instructor

Core Karate Kickboxing, a proud offshoot of the revered CBBA Academy with a legacy exceeding 20 years, is on a quest to find an experienced Black Belt Karate Instructor for our Youth and Teens program in Mississauga. S

ince our local inception in 2020, we've seen our student body flourish and grow, with our unique martial arts experience helping them nurture personal skills pivotal to their successful futures.

Our martial arts program is far more than self-defense training. We infuse character development into our standardized curriculum across all our programs. Our youthful students learn the essence of respect for their elders, accountability, focus, and physical fitness in an enjoyable and invigorating environment. Simultaneously, our adult learners are empowered to overcome anxieties and trauma, in a setting that promotes inclusion and social belonging.

Job Description: As our Black Belt Karate Instructor, you'll play a crucial role in helping our students unlock their full potential. You will serve as an extra set of eyes and ears for the head instructor, providing comprehensive support, leading high-energy classes, and helping execute our hybrid karate/kickboxing curriculum, predominantly based on Shotokan karate.

Key Qualifications:

- A black belt in karate is essential. ideally Shotkan
- Previous teaching experience in martial arts is mandatory.
- A flexible schedule that accommodates classes between 3:30 PM - 6 PM on weekdays and 9 AM -12 PM on weekends.
- An open-minded approach to training and a dedication to nurturing students.

**Responsibilities**:
Teaching group classes in the chosen martial art discipline

Studying and maintaining proficiency in the program curriculum

Attending staff meetings and contributing to the development of the studio

Providing personal training sessions if desired (**Coach keeps 75% of session**)
- **Requirements**:_

Friendly, reliable, and passionate about martial arts

Must have a criminal record check

Advanced skilled are preferred but holding a Black belt is not required as full training will be provided but an understanding of the martial art's fundamental principles and techniques is necessary

Excellent communication and teaching skills

Additional personal training sessions can be scheduled based on the instructor's availability
