- **Position Summary**:
Reporting to the Manager of Security Operations, the Security Operations Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day security operations at Trillium Health Partners. The Security Operations Coordinator will work directly with the security vendor to ensure departmental needs and key performance indicators are met. This role is a customer service focused position that requires the individual to work independently as well as part of a team.

**General Duties**:

- Oversee contract Security Staff and directly liaise with security vendor
- Oversee and maintain all aspects of day to day security operations
- Ensure that security staff have the proper credentials and those credentials are maintained
- Ensure that security staff are evaluated according to the site specific leveling system
- Lead daily huddles and conduct regular staff meetings in collaboration with security vendor
- Review and escalate high-level incidents to internal stakeholders
- Assist in developing and maintaining departmental and corporate policies & procedures
- Maintain positive morale by supporting the frontline staff with their individual growth & development
- Schedule and present security awareness material for our internal and external stakeholders
- Utilize critical thinking skills to assess and prioritize needs in emergency situations
- Participate in required committees and safety plan meetings
- Gather and provide statistical information and perform security audits
- Maintain and present security awareness information to internal and external stakeholders
- Participate in the Human Resource planning process, including selection, supervision and training of contracted security staff
- Participate in meetings with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate and complete high level internal investigations
- Conduct review of security related incidents and provide recommendations/ feedback on the learning opportunities
- Work with Systems Coordinator to maintain basic understanding of security related equipment troubleshooting requirements
- Work with Fire Marshal and participate in site specific drills
- Participate in six week on-call rotation and support with emergencies after hours
- Required to travel/ rotate between all THP sites & other THP off site locations as needed
- Other duties as assigned

**Qualifications**:

- University Degree or college diploma required (equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
- 3-5 years of frontline security experience (healthcare preferred)
- CPP or CHPA designation (preferred)
- Valid Security license (preferred)
- Comprehensive knowledge of and experience with hospital operations and environments
- Understanding and knowledge of security systems software (Perspective, Genetec, etc.)
- CTI training
- Current knowledge and understanding of applicable Municipal, Provincial, and Federal legislation and regulations
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Superior critical thinking and analytical skills
- Strong leadership abilities
- Strong work ethic and high standards of professionalism
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, concentrate for long periods of time
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
