**Job Title: Financial Controller**
**Reports To**: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

**Position Summary**:
As a **Financial Controller** at Alendel Fabrics, you will be a critical member of the **Leadership Team**, overseeing and managing all financial operations of the company. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the financial strategy to ensure continued growth, stability, and profitability for the company. This role demands not only technical expertise but also leadership, innovation, and collaboration, as you will be key in optimizing financial processes and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Financial Leadership**:
- Lead the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, transaction closure, and statement generation.
- Ensure alignment with financial goals and evaluate budget/forecast variances.
**Reporting and Analysis**:
- Prepare, analyze, and present timely and accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring clarity and reliability for stakeholders.
**Internal Controls**:
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting and operational efficiency.
**Cash Flow Management**:
- Maintain and update weekly cash flow forecasts, ensuring financial liquidity and effective cash management.
**Tax and Compliance**:
- Oversee HST/GST returns, WSIB, corporate tax installments, and ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations and liaise with tax advisors when necessary.
**Accounts Payable/Receivable Management**:
- Oversee and manage all AP and AR functions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing of customer and vendor payments, and oversee foreign currency transactions.
**Financial Statements & Month-End Close**:
- Oversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, AP, AR, etc.) are accurate and completed on time.
**Insurance Management**:
- Manage insurance policies, including renewals and claims, in collaboration with insurance brokers.
**Inventory & Reconciliation**:
- Supervise the reconciliation of physical inventory with system records, handle year-end inventory reconciliations, and manage variances with the Inventory Control team.
**Audit and Compliance**:
- Work with external auditors and the Leadership Team to ensure compliance with accounting standards and best practices.
- Lead special finance projects and ERP process improvements.
**Pricing and Trade Shows**:
- Work closely with the Leadership Team to compile annual pricing for inventory, including trade shows, and review vendor pricing to ensure financial efficiency.
**Payroll & Journal Entries**:
- Coordinate with HR to manage payroll processing, prepare related journal entries, and ensure accuracy with GL Reports in SAP Business One.
**Corporate Credit Cards**:
- Efficiently manage corporate credit card accounts and oversee reconciliation processes.

**Qualifications and Experience**:
- CPA Designation is required.
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Preferred experience in manufacturing and distribution sectors.
