Carpenters Helper

Vision Contracting Ltd. is a respected and progressive builder of quality custom homes and renovations in the Muskoka area. Vision prides itself on quality projects and workmanship and is seeking carpenter helpers/labourers.

Job Duties (include but are not limited to):

- Assist journeyman carpenter with construction and remodeling projects
- Help build wooden structures
- Learn and practice essential carpentry skills on the job
- Maintain a positive and safe work environment by following health and safety policies, standards, and regulations
- Take measurements, calculate the size, and amount of material required
- Pour concrete
- Lay out flooring, roofing, and drywall ensuring they are leveled and compatible
- Formwork carpentry
- Build scaffolding and other construction structures
- Install cabinetry, shelves, and other items as assigned
- Assemble, shaping, and joining wood or other materials as instructed
- Use hand and power tools
- Cut and shape lumber and other material according to project plans
- General housekeeping

Qualifications:

- Experience in related role is an asset
- Experience with hand and power tools is an asset
- Able to perform physical work as required for the job
- Valid driver's license, clean drivers abstract and a reliable vehicle

Part-time hours: 0 - 40 per week

**Salary**: $18.00-$24.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- On call
