**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide expert advice to students and families regarding financial aid options, including OSAP, scholarships, grants, and payment plans.
- Overseeing the university's student finance services for domestic and international students
- Ensure compliance with federal and provincial regulations related to student financial aid programs, including maintaining accurate records and preparing required reports.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial aid policies and procedures to enhance student support services.
- Ensuring all month/quarter/year-end accounting duties and financial reporting are completed in a timely and accurate manner
- Preparing year-end Ministry reporting and auditing requirements and supporting the year-end audit process
- Other related duties as required.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in student financial services, with a focus on OSAP administration.
- In-depth knowledge of OSAP regulations, policies, and procedures.
- CPA designation completed or in the process is preferred
- Must have prior experience in QuickBooks and advanced knowledge of Excel and MS products
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Confidentiality, integrity, sound judgement
- Proven leadership experience, with the ability to manage and develop a team
- Working effectively and accurately under pressure of high volume and frequent interruptions
