**Duties and Responsibilities**:
- Lead and support the kitchen team during evenings and weekends
- Supervise plating and meal service
- Ensure efficient and smooth running of the kitchen
- Design new menu options for submission and approval
- Assign work to cooks/kitchen staff
- Take daily inventory of produce, meat and dairy to determine ordering needs
- Order kitchen supplies, produce, meat and dairy weekly as needed
- Ensure all deliveries arrive on time
- Maintain stock rotation to ensure freshness
- Ensure that correct storage conditions for products such as meats, produce, and dairy are maintained
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Recruit and train kitchen staff as needed
- Monitor temp logs and all kitchen equipment
- Ensure the maintenance of neat, clean, and organized work and storage areas
- Design menu options for allergies and food restriction that are readily available
- Clean and sanitize workstations and surrounding areas ongoing
**Qualifications**
- Must have Red-Seal Certificate
- Current Food Handling Certificate
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Cook or Chef for a medium size kitchen
- Ability to prepare up to 80 meals per day
- Full command of the English language
- Able to use computer proficiently
- Manage and communicate kitchen staff and flow
Shifts:
Tuesday-Thursday 1:00pm-9:00pm
Friday 11:00pm-7:00pm
Saturday 7:00pm-7:00pm
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (required)
