**Skills & Experience**:

- A technical understanding of spill response needs, containers, products, and regulatory expectations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills is a benefit
- Self-motivated
- Health and Safety background
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to think outside of the box

**Preferable Education**:

- Valid Driver's License is required
- NFPA 1072 / 472 Hazardous Materials Technician Level
- NFPA 1001
- Previous experience in chemical handling, transferring, and waste management
- Confined Space Rescue Certification
- Combination of training, education, and experience.

**Job Specifics**:

- On call responsibilities
- Emergency and non-emergency work
- Following established safe work procedures and standard operating procedures
- Occasional out of town work
- Working within a team enviornment
- Equipment maintenance

Competitive wages, overtime, and benefit package.

**Salary**: From $30.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Surrey, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- NFPA 1072 / 472 (preferred)
