**Online IT Support Specialist**

**Short-term contract ( Maternity leave cover)**

ISANS is seeking a full-time **Online IT Support Specialist** to provide technical support to partners, employees, clients and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Supervisor IT & Online and to the Manager, Digital Transformation & Technology Support, this position will be responsible for:
**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Troubleshoot and respond to user technical requests and access issues for the Online Learning platform i.e. Moodle, investigate problem, identify source, determine and document solution
- Ensure support requests are dealt with in a professional and timely manner.
- Provide technical support for the set-up and delivery of various webinars involving stakeholders.
- Provide web conferencing training and technical support to staff.
- Manage and maintain Online Learning platform i.e. Moodle including set up/maintain/archive course sites, add-on extensions, set up class rosters/usernames/passwords, and load supplied content
- Set up enrollment keys for groups and courses.
- Communicate system updates to users affected by changes.
- Provide basic orientation for staff on how to use Moodle for instruction (i.e., gradebook, feedback, reports, discussion forums, calendar, etc)
- Support the design, development and implementation of the Online Learning platform i.e. Moodle
- Actively participate in special projects, initiatives and programs as require.
- Review, pilot, deploy and evaluate emerging e-learning technologies.
- Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process and improvements that positively impact the user experience.
- Other duties as required.

This position will require occasional evening and weekend working

**Education and Experience**
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, or a related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience will be accepted.
- Two years experience in a similar position
- Experience supporting Moodle
- Experience creating webinars a strong asset
- Experience providing help-desk services a strong asset
- Experience with online learning platforms an asset
- Experience working in a cross cultural setting

**Knowledge**
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP or Ruby
- Knowledge of Windows/Linux client/server operating systems and the associated hardware infrastructure.
- Knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems and Windows Server operating systems
- Knowledge of Computer hardware
- Knowledge of video and web conferencing
- Knowledge of internet security issues and best practices
- Knowledge of online courses, online delivery, benefits and challenges
- Understanding of online platforms an asset

**Skills**
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong time management and organization skills
- Proficient with HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, PHP or Ruby
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with all levels within the organization essential

**Terms of Employment**:

- Short
- term contract starting January 12, 2024 and ending November 4, 2024
- Full-time 35 hours per week
- During the COVID-19 pandemic, your work location may be at ISANS’ office or at home. Work location will be determined by operational requirements, public health recommendations, and government requirements.

**Commencement Date**:ASAP

**Closing Date**:Monday November 27, 2023- 4 p.m.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 11 months

**Salary**: $42,216.42-$47,977.58 per year
