**Department Overview**:
The TD Insurance GI Claims Recovery Team is responsible for delivering a legendary customer experience through simple, fast and fair claims resolution while ensuring financial results by focusing on the client experience, strong risk management, a well-run operating model, and being an extraordinary place to work.

**Job Description**:
Working closely with the Claims Total Loss team, the salvage team, customers and our preferred salvage vendor, the Lien Specialist is responsible for ensuring that liens on total loss vehicles are discharged on a timely basis. Reporting directly to the Group Manager Salvage, the lien specialist delivers against accountabilities to ensure vehicle liens are discharged on a timely basis and all enquiries from our salvage vendor are responded to expediently. In addition, the lien specialist is responsible for executing initiatives based on the Repair Storage and Lien Act or provincial equivalent, as well is working directly with third party lending institutions to oversee the Electronic Fund Transfer for Lienholders project.

Key job duties will include:

- Timely release of liens by working with customers and third party lending institutions
- Processing EFT inquiries from third party lending institutions
- Working with our preferred salvage vendor to engage the RSLA process
- Possessing and fostering strong analytical skills and maintaining attention to detail;
- Ensuring productivity and efficiency standards are maintained on an individual level;
- Being a change leader, leading with conviction and evolving mindsets and behaviors with transparency and purpose;
- Effective communicator with the ability to demonstrate purpose and accountability;
- Developing and maintaining working relationships with internal and external partners for the purposes of delivering ongoing efficiencies and influencing industry trends and innovations;

**Requirements**:

- Completion of post-secondary.
- Undergraduate degree considered an asset.
- 3+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficient to work in a fast-paced environment through strong administration, organizational, planning and time management skills
- Hands on knowledge of using MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and internet
- A go-getter individual who can exercise initiatives and be accurate, and detail oriented to handle several tasks and changing priorities
- A dynamic communicator with established customer service skills who can connect, both verbally and in writing, with different people in a calm, courteous, and effective manner
