Job Summary:
As a Label Specialist for Nail Products and Cosmetics, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that all product labels comply with Canadian and American regulatory standards while accurately reflecting the attributes of our Korean nail cosmetic brands. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to review, approve, and manage labels for distribution across Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Regulatory Compliance**: Stay abreast of Canadian regulations governing cosmetics labeling, ensuring that all labels meet Health Canada requirements and guidelines. Ensure that labels are in compliance with the FDA and new MOCRA regulations. Register products under the Canadian Cosmetics Notifications Portal.
- **Label Development**: Collaborate with marketing teams to create visually appealing labels that accurately represent the Korean nail cosmetic brands we distribute.
- **Label Review and Approval**: Conduct thorough reviews of label content, ensuring accuracy of ingredient listings, warnings, usage instructions, and other required information. Approve labels for distribution. Identifies areas of potential non-compliance and supports investigations as needed. Escalates issues pertaining to implementation of core labeling content, Master labels into product labeling to ensure compliance to regulations and standard processes. Identifies potential non-compliance and supports investigations as needed. Provides operational support through the management of change control of labeling documents, creation and maintenance of annual report labeling summary with Fine Printed Labeling (FPL)
- **Documentation Management**:Maintain organized records of label specifications, approval status, and regulatory compliance documentation.
- **Vendor Liaison**:Communicate with Korean brand partners and label printing vendors to ensure accurate reproduction of label designs and adherence to quality standards. Work collaboratively with regulatory compliance companies to register products under the Canadian and American regulations. Source label printing vendors to ensure high quality prints suitable for each product. Tracks compliance with established processes. Provides compliance data to department management, internal and external clients.
- **Quality Assurance**: Work closely with quality assurance teams to implement procedures for label inspection and verification, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
- **Continuous Improvement**: Identify opportunities to enhance label designs, streamline processes, and improve efficiency while maintaining compliance with regulations.
- **Training and Education**: Conduct training sessions for internal teams on labeling regulations, guidelines, and best practices to ensure awareness and adherence.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Regulatory Affairs, or related field preferred.
- Previous experience in cosmetics labeling, regulatory compliance, or a related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of Canadian regulations governing cosmetics labeling.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with remote teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and label design software.
