**SUMMER STUDENT GROUNDSKEEPER**
**Location: 30 Eleanor Drive, Nepean Ontario.**

Please note this is a summer term contract (May 6th-August 30th)

**Your Role on our team**:
The Grounds Keeper is responsible for ensuring the grounds are maintained, clean and serviced.

**In this role you will**:

- Plants, trims, and any other function related to the design and upkeep of external grounds and landscaping;
Installs plants and other objects (e.g. rock, cement, lighting, furniture, water, etc.) on external grounds
- Undertake small painting projects, such as touch-ups, painting fences, benches, and outdoor facilities to maintain the aesthetic appeal of the property.
- Perform basic maintenance and repair tasks including, but not limited to, fixing signage, notice delivery, and light carpentry work
- Conduct daily inspections of the property to identify areas requiring attention.
- Maintains the grounds through irrigation, trimming, pruning, raking, mulching, litter pick ups, etc.;
- Uses equipment such as rakes, shovels, and lawnmowers when required
- Oversees recycling and waste programs including disposal of food waste, cardboard and shredded paper; ensures bins are taken to the curb for pickup on time and returned in a timely fashion.
- Arranges seasonal decorations for the grounds and exterior when required; Other duties within the scope, spirit and purpose of the job, as requested by management.

**We would like you to have**:
**Education**:A student in high school, college, or University

**Experience**:A minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of relevant work experience is considered an asset.

**Specialized Skills, Knowledge and Abilities**:

- Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Outlook,
- Communication skills (listening, verbal and written)
