Tile Setter

Responsibilities:

- Measure and mark surfaces to be tiled and calculate the amount of materials needed
- Prepare surfaces by removing old tiles, grout, or adhesive
- Cut, shape, and trim tiles to fit around obstacles and in tight spaces
- Align and level tiles using tools such as levels, straightedges, and squares
- Install caulk around edges of tiles to create a watertight seal
- Clean and maintain tools and equipment used in tile setting

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Tile Setter or similar role
- Knowledge of different types of tiles, adhesives, and grouts
- Proficient in reading blueprints and following specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials for extended periods of time
- Good communication skills to work effectively with team members and clients

Pay: $20.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kincardine, ON N2Z 2X5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- flooring installation: 5 years (preferred)
- tile setting: 10 years (preferred)
