Shop/service Technician

This is a full-time position located in our Langley office. The Shop/Service Technician supports the Sales and Project teams. This individual is expected to possess good interpersonal, communication and trouble shooting skills. They will represent WaterTec’s reputation for excellence in the irrigation market. This position reports to the shop manager.

**Duties include**:

- Perform diagnostics on agricultural irrigation equipment (hose reels, electric and diesel pumps, sprayers, and other implements
- Perform repairs on equipment in our shop or onsite mobile service
- Equipment fabrication - steel, aluminum, stainless (cutting, welding, assembly)
- Seasonal maintenance on rental and company equipment
- Complete documentation for work orders and service as required by company procedures in a timely manner.
- Interact with shop manager
- Follow and promote safe work practices.

**Education (preferred)**:

- Minimum high school graduation or equivalent
- Fabrication shop or repair shop experience
- Experience in the agricultural field is an asset

**Other Requirements**:

- Good communication skills in English - written and verbal
- Exceptionally good attitude and a desire to learn new skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to work well with a team
- Valid drivers license and ability to drive to work as service yard is not on a transit line.
- This position requires a criminal records check.

**Salary**: $20.00-$24.00 per hour
