**Job Summary**:
**Responsibilities & Essential functions**:

- Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Utilize electronic scanning equipment (e.g., bar code scanning equipment) to pick and remove items from inventory stock
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
- Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
- Verifies specifications by measuring completed component
- Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying Supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintains supplies inventory by performing routine cycle counts on stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms
- Assist with 5S and organizational initiatives
- Attend employee meetings and safety talks as required
- Operate tools to de-burr and clean parts**. **Operate various other equipment upon completion of required training: Fiber laser, cold cut saw and CNC router
- Other duties as required

**Requirements**:

- Have a strong mechanical aptitude-prior component assembly experience an asset
- Have a working understanding of Health & Safety best practice and OH&S Legislation
- Ability to perform physical labour for extended periods (repetitive lifting of 50lbs)
- Have organizational & time management skills, attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills and desire to accommodate requests
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High School Diploma
- Forklift experience would be considered an asset
- Possess intermediate computer skills and competency in MS Word and Excel
- Experience with Jobboss would be considered an asset
- Mandatory police check, must pass controlled goods check

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
