Working within the Experience Development team at Fort Edmonton Park, a team responsible for delivering year-round products and experiences that appeal to our customers. The team achieves this by delivering exceptional service excellence experiences and fostering and maintaining partnerships with internal stakeholders, vendors, and various organizations.

As the Game Lead, your role is to provide a unique entertainment experience to guests by supervising and managing our outdoor adventure escape game, Where Dark Things Dwell. You will do this by directing and coordinating a team of Experience Actors, supervising each game, and assisting with setup/reset procedures while interacting with guests and other team members in a professional, customer service-focused manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and manage all aspects of the nightly execution of Where Dark Things Dwell;- Supervise and coach Experience Actors in the immersive success of the game as per the scripts and training materials, as well as ensure the team is delivering an excellent customer experience;- Manage Front of House duties and guest game orientation process as needed and provide an excellent customer service-driven experience;- Maintain radio communication and provide reliable time-calls in line with the game schedule;- Manage a staff schedule and provide schedule and updates to actors;- Complete and submit nightly reports for review and inform Supervisor of any immediate concerns or issues;- Prepare for and assist with the execution of nightly game including unlocking buildings where necessary, preparing greenroom for actors’ arrival and assisting the team with game puzzle setup and reset;- Lead and participate in training sessions and pre/post show meetings;- Motivate team to complete tasks and meet creative milestones;- Complete administrative duties such as inventory as necessary; and- Acts as a leader and ensure safety procedures during an emergency are followed, and report any concerns to the supervisor, especially in regards to safety. Complete all safety procedures and reports as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 18 years old;- Experience or training in theatre/improv is an asset;- Experience in event management and customer service;- Proven initiative and enthusiasm along with a genuine interest in understanding the product;- Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to empathize, maintain professionalism, display patience and politeness within a dynamic, fast-paced environment;- Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills;- Flexible and adaptable; able to cope with shifting demands and priorities;- Steadfast attentive to detail and an appreciation of the benefits of effective customer service;- The ability to work effectively with a team, maintain effective working relationships, and function with mínimal supervision;- Ability to react calmly and think critically during emergency situations;- Strong sense of accountability and good use of initiative; takes responsibility and escalates when appropriate; and- Outgoing, positive attitude and enthusiasm for working with the public.

OTHER DETAILS:
- This position operates entirely on site. Employees must be prepared to work outdoors in all weather conditions, with frequent walking, standing, moderate up and down stairs and across distances between buildings;- This position operates primarily during evenings and weekends between 4:30 pm - 11:30 pm from mid May to end mid September.- Reasonably physically demanding position;- May be exposed to chemicals, strong scents, elements, noise, temperature etc;- Exposure to or in contact with common allergens such as but not limited too hay, straw, fur, pollen, dust, bee/wasp stings while on site;- Working in a busy site environment with frequent interruptions;- Must arrange own transportation as this position often operates outside of regular public transit hours;- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada for any employer;- An original Police Information Check issued within the past 90 days that is satisfactory to the employer may be required before starting in the position, and must be provided within 30 days of hire; and- Media consent form required in accordance wi
