Researchers are actively engaged in developing new treatments, devices, and products as well as gathering evidence that guides changes to policy and public opinion.

**Position Summary**

The Neurotrauma Care Pathways (NCP) Project is an initiative funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health to identify and provide options on how to implement integrated Ideal Care Pathways for TBI and tSCI across the continuum of care (from pre-acute to lifelong community care). Our portfolio also includes the development and implementation of standardized indicators to inform quality of care and healthcare system changes. We produce recurrent system reports for TBI and tSCI based on administrative health databases. A current priority of the NCP is to expand our knowledge about the caregiving role in the context of TBI or tSCI. As such, one of the goals of this project is to advance the current understanding of long-term mental health outcomes and available interventions for caregivers of people with TBI or tSCI.

This position exists under the NCP umbrella and is part of a CIHR grant titled: Who is caring for the caregiver? Understanding Quality of Life and Mental Health Outcomes in Caregivers of Persons with Brain Injury. The work involves generating scoping reviews from existing literature, analyzing and interpreting findings, writing manuscripts, and developing knowledge mobilization content for multiple audiences (researchers, clinicians, public etc.).

**Duties**
- Establishing a comprehensive literature search strategy
- Filtering through a large volume of peer-reviewed literature to extract relevant information that align with project goals and scope
- Facilitating focus groups with caregivers and other people with lived experience to gather qualitative data and understand their needs, perspectives, and experiences
- Analyzing and interpreting findings within the context of the larger NCP initiative and from a health policy approach
- Ensure project activities are completed within specified timeline and budget, and refine approaches as needed
- Organizing project team meetings and engaging with relevant stakeholders on an ongoing basis
- Regularly communicating results to project committee for feedback and improvement
- Developing and manage strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure continued engagement with the project
