**Trailhead Kingston is a locally owned business specializing in outdoor clothing, footwear and gear for men and women. We are looking for **clothing buyer** with a passion for the outdoors to **join our team.**

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- To create a buying plan for clothing for each season. Execute the plan by placing orders with suppliers.
- Attend various trade shows throughout the year, ability to travel to shows.
- Analyze sales reports to identify successful products and re-order as necessary
- Review and confirm order confirmations
- Communicate and continue to enhance relationships with suppliers
- Prepare inventory and selling reports
- Merchandising inventory
- Being aware of trends and maintain knowledge of products
- Work on special projects as assigned
- Ability to supervise staff and assign tasks
**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**
- Min 2 year clothing buying experience
- Strong computer skills
- Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to make tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of industry trends and market awareness
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have a strong understanding of retail math
- Comfortable working weekends
**COMPENSATION**
This role is fulltime throughout the year including weekdays, weekends and holidays. The salary is $45,000 - $55,000 depending on experience with a bonus program linked to overall store performance. Benefits and RRSP contributions are also included.
