**Parts for Trucks** has been an industry leader providing parts and service to the heavy-duty trucking industry for over 100 years. Operating 30 sales / warehouse outlets and 15 service facilities from coast to coast, **Parts for Trucks** offers a complete range of products and services for all makes of trucks and trailers.

We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team as **Shop Helper/Parts Runner** in Dartmouth, NS.This is a full-time, permanent position.

**Details**:

- Retrieve and deliver parts and supplies to and from vendors and suppliers.
- Assist mechanics in performing repairs and maintenance on trucks and trailers.
- Maintain accurate records of parts usage and replenish stock when needed.
- Communicate effectively with mechanics and shop managers to ensure seamless workflow.
- Organize and maintain the shop area, always ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Help with the inspection and inventory of parts and tools.
- Follow all safety procedures and policies to maintain a secure working environment.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of basic automotive tools and equipment.
- Previous experience working in an automotive or mechanical shop is preferred.
- Familiarity with truck and trailer parts is an asset.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driver’s abstract.
- Standing and some moderate to heavy lifting (up to 80 pounds).
