SPY Communications Inc. is hiring Underground Micro duct installation specialist the Barrie region.

Our _fibre to the home team_ is responsible for the installation of a service drop micro duct from the bundled duct or pedestal location to the point of entry of the house. Our team is also responsible for jetting the new micro fibre from the pedestal to the point of entry and the fibre splice to complete the customer experience.

This position is Monday to Friday, 40 hours a week and Saturdays if required during the high season.
- Understand and promotes Health and Safety responsibilities.
- Receive and complete daily work orders assigned from workflow admin.
- Will communicate with customers, property owners of the physical locations where the cables are buried.
- Manage truck inventory and tools.
- Will install underground service drops from pole/pedestal to the point of entry.
- Will use hand tools (shovels, picks), drills, cut off saws & ladders.
- Will complete the cut over (activation) of the new service drop installed, ensure service drop integrity and remove temporary service drop.
- Must be self motivated, positive individual.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to daily workflow changes.

- Ability to work with the public, customers and their team in a professional, positive manner.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve as challenges present themselves.
- Must have the ability to complete physical work activities, including bending and reaching.
- Must have the ability to work in outdoor environments, shoulder seasons and summer season.

**Renumeration/Employment package**
- Wage range starting at $19.50-$21 an hour, based on previous experience.

Contract length: 9 months

**Salary**: $33,963.77-$67,340.51 per year
