**The Opportunity**

Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Analyst is responsible for performing credit adjudication for all entities assigned within a portfolio at Wajax Limited. The key tasks for the position are the timely completion of credit adjudication, on demand and annual credit reviews, customer order releases and holds.

**The Role**
- The Credit Analyst is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, as well as, ensuring information is provided in a timely and accurate manner to mitigate credit risk to Wajax and related entities.
- The incumbent will work closely with other credit analyst’s, collections department, Credit Manager, and internal business partners to manage the credit risk for the receivable portfolio assigned.
- Process incoming credit requests, while mitigating credit risk to meet an expected service level. (24-72-hour response time)
- Complete reviews of credit limits for existing accounts as needed to ensure over-limit status is remediated and provide recommendations on limit revisions as required.
- Complete reviews of pending orders to ensure credit risk is appropriately managed while supporting the customer and the sales process
- Perform scheduled credit reviews of existing customers based on customer risk class.
- Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality
- Accountable to conduct business within established authority levels and follow all policy and procedure guidelines of Wajax Limited.
- Ensure that customers and internal stakeholders are provided with accurate and timely account and process information and documentation
- Completion of required documentation as part of the credit review process in approved format.
- Post-secondary degree in a relevant discipline is preferred
- CCP Designation or currently enrolled in the CCP Program with the Credit Institute of Canada is preferred but not a requirement
- Minimum 3+ years of Credit Granting/Adjudication experience is required
- Good working knowledge of trade credit management
- Proficient in all aspects of MS office - Intermediate level
- Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to review data, problem solve and provide recommendations.
- Ensure presentation of information is professional, timely, and accurate
- Aptitude for learning multiple ERP platforms and other credit software.
- Ability to continue to learn and develop
