Full Time Seasonal Recycling Attendant

The Drumheller & District Solid Waste Management Association is currently seeking one (1) Full-time Seasonal Recycling Attendants to join our team.

Who are we?

The Drumheller & District Regional Landfill is owned and operated by the Drumheller and District Solid Waste Management Association. We are focused on providing solid waste management and recycling solutions for our member communities and those in surrounding areas. We are dedicated to providing a positive environment for those working and visiting here.

Who are you?

As a first and central point of contact for a customer service-oriented organization, you are a courteous, helpful and enthusiastic individual. You have a passion to assist clients with their specific waste and recycling materials. You take pride in conducting yourself in a professional and confidential manner. You also possess excellent verbal communication skills, outstanding organizational and time management skills and are able to self direct and self motivate. You also pride yourself on creating and maintain a positive and safe work environment for you and your team.

Key Responsibilities - Recycling
- Transportation of recycling trailers
- Hand Sorting, processing, and bailing of waste and recyclable materials to ensure maximum environmental care and recyclability
- Maintaining on-site and off-site public recycling drop off areas
- Recycling collection from public facilities, seniors’ complexes and commercial locations
- Grounds maintenance, litter collection and general housekeeping on and off site.

This is a physically demanding job so applicant must be physically fit and able to work in a dusty environment. Must possess a valid Class 5 drivers license and provide clean drivers abstract upon hiring.

Qualities we are looking for include:

- Dependable, reliable, and punctual
- Enthusiastic team player
- Skid steer/Forklift experience an asset though not required

Hours

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; Saturdays as per rotation - 9:00am - 1:00pm

**Job Types**: Full-time (40 hours per week)

**Salary**: $18.50 /hour
