Stitcher/tailor

The Tailor/Stitcher position is dedicated to theatre and film and custom design costumes at Theatrix Costume House. The Tailor/Stitcher position is responsible to deliver and execute all of the costume needs for each show or event.

Requirements**:Minimum of 3 years of experience in theatre production including design and wardrobe experience**
- Ability to manage a range of activities and demands on a day to day basis
- Alterations are a major responsibility of the Stitcher role
- Strong knowledge of domestic and industrial sewing machines, industrial iron, serger
- Strong knowledge of construction of garments, pattern drafting is an asset
- Strong organizational skills and can follow verbal and written instruction
- MSWord - gmail, Whatsapp, Google Drive, Excel
- Some work outside of regular hours is required
- Knowledge of historical costuming is an asset

**Salary**: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
