Early Childhood Assistant

Qualifications/Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years experience working with Preschool to School Age children (2.5 - 8 yrs.)
- Familiar with CCEYA, HDLH? ELECT and City of Toronto AQI
- Current and Clear Police Reference Check w/ Vulnerable Sector Screening
- Valid Standard First Aid and CPR-C
- Up-to-date immunizations

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing support within program room ensuring documentation and required paperwork are up-to-date and in compliance with CCEYA and City of Toronto AQI Requirements;
- Effective use of Observation to support planning and implement enriched learning experiences that are directly related to the children's development and interests.
- Effectively integrate ELECT, HDLH? and Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years into daily programming and interactions.
- Supervision of the children ensuring health, safety and well-being following all governing protocols inclusive of COVID-19 enhanced procedures.
- Communicate effectively with families, co-workers and community partners. (verbal and nonverbal)
- supporting children's natural curiosity, self-help and autonomy and Kindergarten Readiness
- Dishwashing, toy cleaning, supervising daily routines and transitions etc.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 25 per week

**Salary**: $21.00 per hour

- French not required

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
