RDJ Bakeries is looking to hire a **Cycle Counter** for the **Day shift**.

**Job purpose**

The Cycle Counter is responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy and integrity within both facilities.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

The associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:

- Verify 7 series by production date and report items at risk of being written off based on demand and customer minimum shelf-life requirements.
- Monitor and control inventory integrity (FEFO - first expiry first out).
- Researching inventory discrepancies.
- Manage the inventory control function at the site.
- Responsible for overseeing physical inventories/cycle counts/random cycle count.
- Document and control aged & damaged product.
- Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management (and client as appropriate).
- Coordinate and Integrate efforts across operational departments to enhance inventory accuracy.
- Manage Weekly 7 series count and completion of weekly 7 series matrix.
- Collect counting information from second cycle counter at other location and from counts on off shifts.
- Coordinate with production on unplanned WIP counts.
- Manage biweekly 3 series count.
- Manage daily partial pallet counts.
- Perform weekly physical finished goods inventory:

- Identify aging finished goods.
- Identify warehouse back log and react accordingly.
- Perform other assigned duties.
- Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.
- Must follow Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.
- Comply with all Company policies and procedures.

**Qualifications**:

- Education: High School degree
- Experience: 1 to 3 years preferred.
- Great attention to detail with accuracy.
- Leadership and planning skills are also helpful.
- Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Working conditions
- Always work indoors.
- May be exposed to very hot temperatures from ovens.
- May be exposed to cold temperatures from the warehouse
- May work close to others, usually within a few feet.
- Usually wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, and bear nets.
- Straight shift work.

Physical requirements
- Able to work under pressure.
- Able to work under high temperature.
- Able to work with computer.

**Salary**: $16.50-$18.00 per hour

**Benefits**:

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Cambridge, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
