Dog Bather

**Looking to hire a full time Bather for a busy grooming salon located in Orleans.**

**Please note we hire full time bathers to ensure that we maintain a steady flow of clean dogs ready for their haircuts, to be performed by our full time groomers. There is a big emphasis on teamwork here as each dog is worked on by at least two people (bather & groomer) in order to provide diligent and consistent grooms for our clients.**

**You come to us with**:

- **A strong initiative; outside of bathing dogs, our bathers are responsible for general housekeeping tasks such as: laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and garbage.**:

- **A willingness to learn; there is a lot to learn in the process of becoming a bather, so it is important to come prepared to learn something new on a daily basis. Various lessons include a rundown of safe lifting, handling/holding techniques, product types and their uses, and a rundown of tools and their proper use.**:

- **The physical ability to lift and restrain dogs from 5-150 lbs. safely (safely meaning knowing which dogs require 2/3 persons to lift)**

**You will need to perform full bathing services (bath, brush, comb, demat and blow dry) for dogs for a diverse range of pet owners. Attention to detail is key. This role is physically demanding and involves standing, bending, and lifting all day.**
