Reporting to the Operations Manager, the LTC Site Supervisor administers, oversees and coordinates the daily operations of the site ensuring the effective delivery of services to the designated resident population. Provides leadership to staff, establishes priorities, and coordinates work assignments and schedules, interviews and selects staff, sets goals and objectives with staff, conducts performance evaluations, provides formal feedback, and makes training/staff development decisions for staff. Develops, implements, monitors and evaluates staff performance measures. Oversees program planning, development, evaluation and quality improvement activities for the unit including ensuring the effective communication and coordination of services provided by the multidisciplinary care team. Interprets, implements, and monitors policies, procedures, and standards related to resident care. Works with PHC and regional representatives to develop standard clinical guidelines for treatment of the designated resident population. Collaborates with other interdisciplinary team members and interfaces with other departments to ensure timely and seamless delivery of clinical services. Monitors unit budget and reallocates resources as required to stay within budget.
Leads the development and implementation of treatment plans for resident, initiates and participates in case conferences and conducts comprehensive nursing assessments. Provides ongoing clinical supervision; acts as a clinical resource for members of the multidisciplinary team and promotes collaboration for treatment concerns, continuity of care, and resource coordination.
- **Education**: Registered Nurse with current practicing registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM). Baccalaureate in Nursing or Psychiatric Nursing is required plus qualifications required of staff nurse in the clinical area. Five (5) years recent, related experience in clinical areas including three (3) years recent experience in supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

- Demonstrated knowledge and ability to perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) procedures appropriate for the area of service.

- Ability to use evidence-based practice to develop and implement standards of practice that guide work practices and quality and safety improvement initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, coaching, facilitation and team building skills.

- Ability to develop, prioritize and accomplish objectives.
- Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated critical thinking and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to adjust to new or unexpected events and make decisions.
- Ability to role model conflict resolution strategies and take corrective action.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work independently.
- Ability to work collaboratively as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
