**Job Brief**:
Granville College, a pioneer in Animal Healthcare Training for over 27 years and the first Veterinary Technician Assistant College in Canada is seeking an engaging and enthusiastic ESL Instructor to contribute to our unique ESL learning experience. You will have the opportunity to teach students in programs including General + Cambridge English, Pathway/EAP Program, and IELTS Test Preparation.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work with experienced professionals in the education industry and expand your industry knowledge through Granville College's in-house Professional Development workshops. You will also have the chance to help students from various countries learn English, respecting and embracing their unique cultures.

**Responsibilities**:
Contribute to the unique in=person ESL learning experience at Granville College

Prepare and deliver lessons in programs including General + Cambridge English, Pathway/EAP Program, and IELTS Test Preparation

Prepare classroom and course materials

Assign homework and exams

Grade students’ assessments

Create individualized plans for students with special requirements (e.g. learning disabilities)

Maintain records of student attendance and grades

Resolve crises in the classroom

Collaborate with educational staff to provide a positive learning experience to students

Lead activities in the afternoon

**Schedule**:
Monday to Friday 9am - 12pm (teaching hours) + Activities after the lunch break.

**Requirements and Skills**:
A completed Bachelor’s degree

A completed TESL/TESOL certificate recognized by TESL Canada

2 or more years of teaching experience. Preference for those with experience in teaching a diverse classroom

Experience in teaching mixed levels (Asset)

Previous online experience using the Zoom platform is an asset

Organized and punctual

Neat and professional appearance

Engaging and enthusiastic

Respectful of other cultures

Great organizational and communication skills

Ability to handle classroom crisis

Part-time hours: 20 per week

**Salary**: $24.00 per hour
