Summer Laborer Job Description - Must have G license

**Key Duties**:

- Property Maintenance & Landscaping_
- Check properties and parking lots for garbage
- Check for adverse conditions, such as ice, grit buildup, and/or downed trees and brush
- Mow grass, eliminate weeds, trim tree branches, and other landscaping activities for properties, including trails
- Other tasks as assigned by the Farm Manager
- Vehicle & Equipment Maintenance_
- Assist with vehicle and equipment maintenance when necessary
- Fill up vehicles and equipment as required
- Check vehicles and equipment fluid levels before use
- Detail vehicles as part of regular rotation when necessary
- Take out garbage/recycling as required
- Sweep shop floor as required
- Clean wash bay as required
- Farm Labor _
- Assist with care of farm animals and agriculture
- Feed and re-bed indoor cattle when necessary
- Assist in moving livestock from field to field when necessary
- Assist in cleaning and bedding cow stalls when necessary
- Assist with veterinarian visits when necessary
- Ensure cattle in rotational grazing have access to water when necessary
- Assist in moving livestock from field to field (rotational grazing) when necessary
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of various barns and work spaces

**Key Responsibilities**:

**Relationships with - Gardens/Apothecary, Excavation, Construction and Maintenance**

**Physical Requirements - must be able to stand for long periods of time, must be able to lift up to 30 kg**

**Job requires squatting, kneeling, bending, lifting, twisting at the waist and reaching above shoulder height**

**Schedule Requirements - normal shifts will be 8-9 hours with a minimum half hour lunch break; willing to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends if required**

**Job Requirements - time management: ability to organize and manage multiple projects; demonstrates ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; articulate in English; commitment to company mission and vision**

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temporary
Contract length: 5 months

Pay: From $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
