Bouncer/security

Situated just north of downtown Edmonton - the Best Western Plus City Centre Inn is conveniently located across from Kingsway Mall, walking distance from two LRT Stations and the Royal Alexandra Hospital. The primary goal for the hotel’s security is to deter violence, respond to crisis situations, and balance providing maximum protection and customer service for our guests. Security Agents are required to be customer service representatives and brand ambassadors while supporting the dynamic needs of the hotel.
- Provide a high level of customer service in a dynamic environment
- Monitor site visitors, cameras, and alarm systems to ensure safety
- Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner
- Conduct proactive patrols to ensure safety and address policy breaches, and note any concerns
- De-escalate crisis situations, provide support and liaise with emergency personnel, including; police, fire and paramedic resources
- Evict trespassers
- Write clear and detailed reports
- Provide first aid when required

**Job Requirements**:

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong observational and active listening skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to make immediate decisions while maintaining composure in emergency response situations with mínimal supervision
- Must be able to work nights(20:00 to 04:00) consistently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work well with others in order to achieve collective goals
- Ability to walk 20/30km and stairs
- ProTect or SSIA License is required
- First Aid certification is required
- Pass a criminal background check

**Details and Perks**
- 8 to 32 hours per week, part or full time possible
- $17-19/hour, plus a cut of the restaurants net tips
- Access to the hotels fitness facility and pool area, their are constraints on use of the facilities

Part-time hours: 8 - 40 per week

**Salary**: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
