**Job Overview**

In this role, you will interact with the steel procurement team, your colleagues in supply chain roles, and external supplier contacts with the goal of supporting the supply of steel coils to our operation. You will participate in the procurement process by issuing and maintaining purchase orders through to their final reception.

**Responsibilities**
- Accurately create and manage purchase orders with external vendors.
- Review supplier acknowledgements, validations (price, quantity, delivery) against purchase orders for accuracy.
- Assist in resolving any issues or discrepancies with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Regularly follow-up on purchase orders with suppliers and steel mills for their expected production and shipment dates.
- Track shipments and maintain the system with the latest arrival information.
- Manage supplier documentation, such as order confirmations, packing lists, mill test certifications, etc., and follow established document management procedures.
- Perform packing list verifications to match materials to purchase orders, identifying any issues and seeking clarification when required.
- Coordinate available material releases for their intended destination with the logistics team.
- Compile and distribute purchase order information, reports or dashboards, for the steel supply chain as required.

**Qualifications**
- University degree or college diploma in business administration or related field. Equivalent experience and/or education will be considered.
- Designation Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) or working towards a designation is an asset.
- Minimum of two years related work experience.
- Computer skills - knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and OneDrive. Ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Excellent attention to detail is required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication - being bilingual (English and French) is an asset.
- Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with external vendors and colleagues.
- Experience in purchasing, supply chain and/or logistics is an asset.
- Steel knowledge, such as types of steel, steel grades and coatings is an asset.

**Vue d'ensemble de l'emploi**

Dans ce rôle, vous interagirez avec l'équipe d'approvisionnement en acier, vos collègues dans des rôles de chaîne d'approvisionnement et les contacts externes avec les fournisseurs dans le but de soutenir la fourniture de bobines d'acier à notre exploitation. Vous participerez au processus d'approvisionnement en émettant et en maintenant les bons de commande jusqu'à leur réception finale.

**Responsabilités**
- Créez et gérez avec précision les commandes fournisseurs avec des fournisseurs externes.
- Examiner les accusés de réception et les validations des fournisseurs (prix, quantité, livraison) par rapport aux bons de commande pour en vérifier l'exactitude.
- Aider à résoudre tout problème ou divergence avec les fournisseurs et les intervenants internes.
- Assurer un suivi régulier des bons de commande auprès des fournisseurs et des aciéries pour connaître leurs dates de production et d'expédition prévues.
- Suivez les expéditions et maintenez le système avec les dernières informations d'arrivée.
- Gérer la documentation des fournisseurs, comme les confirmations de commande, les listes de colisage, les certifications d'essais d'usine, etc., et suivre les procédures établies de gestion des documents.
- Effectuer des vérifications de la liste de colisage pour faire correspondre les matériaux aux bons de commande, en identifiant tout problème et en demandant des éclaircissements au besoin.
- Coordonner les rejets de matériel disponibles pour leur destination prévue avec l'équipe de logistique.
- Compiler et distribuer des renseignements sur les bons de commande, des rapports ou des tableaux de bord pour la chaîne d'approvisionnement de l'acier, au besoin.

**Qualifications requises**
- Diplôme universitaire ou collégial en administration des affaires ou dans un domaine connexe. L'expérience et/ou l'éducation équivalentes seront prises en compte.
- Désignation professionnel de la gestion de la chaîne d'approvisionnement (SCMP) ou travailler à l'obtention d'un titre est un atout.
