Meat Manager

**Haida Gwaii Co-op** is hiring a** Meat Manager** to oversee the Meat Department at our Co-op Grocery Store, located in **Masset, BC**.

This position requires on-site work and is based in Masset, BC.

**What you’ll do**:
Working on beautiful Haida Gwaii, the traditional territories of the Haida people, you will be responsible for the daily operation of the Meat department. You will:

- Provide direction and support to the Meat Department on daily tasks.
- Cut, wrap, and build fresh meat case displays using creativity and knowledge of the of meat industry to increase sales.
- Provide merchandising, complete ordering, and pricing, and manage the sales of the department.
- Provide exceptional customer service and use your expertise to assist customers with any questions or concerns.
- Complete all necessary administrative tasks related to the operation of the department.

**The Team**:You will work closely with the Merchandiser, who will report directly to you. This team strives to cultivate a culture of collaboration and exceptional customer service.

The Village of Masset is located on Graham Island and is at the heart of a unique and vibrant Island culture. Endless hiking trails and beautiful beaches set the scene for this community of approximately 840 residents. Masset provides services for a larger rural area with a population near 2300. **Who you are**:
You are looking for a career in Retail Store Operations and:

- You have a high school diploma.
- You have at least 5 years meat cutting experience.
- You have management/supervision experience.
- You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
- You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
