A day in the role of a Receptionist at Peterborough Retirement Residence.

As a Receptionist at Peterborough Retirement Residence, you will be given high expectations, as well as an expectation to continue personal growth and professional growth. In this position, you will be gifted with a rewarding experience every day in the form of being able to see the exact impact you place on our residents.

The Receptionist is responsible for receiving and directing visitors and inquiries, relaying and coordinating Resident and associate messages by use of telephone and intercom and maintaining a record of persons entering and leaving the community.

This position is responsible for but not limited to:
- Pleasantly receives all persons entering the building, recognizing that he/she is the first impression of the community,- Manage crowds to ensure individuals are keeping a 2-meter distance,- Ask individuals entering the building a series of COVID-19 screening questions,- Screen individuals with proper use of thermometers to check temperatures,- Assess temperature and granting access to the facilities based off results,- Document and track of headcount and allowing individuals to enter and leave facility,- Provide information with respect to health and safety protocol and use of PPE (personal protective equipment),- Stock delivery,- Answers the phone using the appropriate phone etiquette,- Is aware of and respects and promotes the Residents’ Bill of Rights,- Maintains a daily log of visitors,- Processes meal tickets as required,- Provides administrative support to the Management Team through word processing,- Provides support with marketing initiatives,- Understands and adheres to policies of the community,
- Performs other duties as requested.

**Qualifications**:

- Completion of Grade 12,- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite,- Must be able to speak, read and write English and to follow oral and written directions in the English language,- Must have a passion for working with seniors,- Must have a clear vulnerable sector screen, no older than 6 months, TB test results less than 6 months old, must be able to provide three supervisory references.How to apply?
