Lamont Elementary serves approximately 330 students in kindergarten to Grade 6, with 17 teaching staff and 13 support staff. The school is located in Lamont, AB, approximately 60 kilometres northeast of Sherwood Park, AB. ?

Opportunities also include a variety of extracurricular activities including a strong intramural program, sports teams and numerous clubs. Lamont Elementary is also a designated Play And Learn at School (PALS) pre-kindergarten site within the Division.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:
Conferring with students, parents and staff to find the best solutions possible to help students succeed.

Developing innovative and creative strategies to increase student engagement.

Building relationships with students, staff and families to maintain a positive school culture.

Maintaining high visibility and accessibility during the school day, including classroom visitations.

Providing leadership in creating opportunities for teacher collaboration.

Setting, maintaining and modeling high standards of professional conduct.

Leading the development, implementation and assessment of the instructional program.

Supervision, observations and evaluations of staff.

Effective verbal and written communications with a variety of groups and individuals.

**Experience, Training, Requirements**:
Valid Permanent Alberta Teaching Certificate

Minimum five years successful teaching experience

Master’s degree is an asset

Successful administrative experience
