Position Summary:
Responsible for ensuring fresh produce and meat entering the distribution centers meet the required standards as well as quality and regulatory standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- Accurate and efficient inspection of incoming shipments of produce and meat that arrive at the DC to ensure CFIA and company specifications for quality and labelling
- Conduct routine inspections of staple stock items to review products for quality and conformance standards
- Make decisions to accept or reject products based on inspections results
- Timely reporting and communication of any deficiencies on inbound quality and/or compliance to company cross-functional team members
- Inspection of outbound loads to ensure they are built to prevent product damage
- Monitor cold chain(temperature) compliance of inbound and outbound product to ensure compliance
- Maintain and update produce and meat specifications as required
- May be required to sit/stand for long periods of time, engage in frequent lifting(up to 60lbs) or bending
- Due to the environment, must be able to work in various weather/temperature conditions(i.e. cold)

Qualifications:

- Minimum Education Required: High School Diploma
- Minimum (2) years relevant experience
- Basic computer skills(i.e. Excel, Word, E-Mail)
- Ability to follow appropriate company policies, procedures. guidelines and compliance requirements when inspecting products for quality and damage
- Strong judgement, able to leverage policies, procedures and/or guidelines in order to make effective and informed decisions
- Strong customer service focus and results focused with attention to detail, ability to multi task and can ensure key deadlines are met in a timely manner
- Able to adapt quickly to changing work demands and priorities

Flexible Language Requirement:

- French not required
