**Health, Safety, Quality & Environment (HSQE) Intern**

We are currently seeking an HSQE Intern to further support our Health, Safety, Quality & Environment team in North Vancouver. This position will be full-time, Monday to Friday and will be a 4-month position.

**Preferred Majors/Areas of Focus**: Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S), Environmental Studies

**Location**: North Vancouver

**Responsibilities & Activities**

This position will play a vital role in providing the HSQE team support through reinforcement of key safety messages while focusing on some of the following tasks:

- Participate in and provide support with various inspections and audits.
- Collect data and assist in report preparation and submission.
- Make sure key milestones and deadlines are met.
- Provide support with ongoing projects and other tasks.
- Ensure organization of safety equipment and inventory.
- Assist with recoding WSBC documents and correspondence.
- Assist with coordinating and monitoring safety training for contractors and third parties.
- Other related duties and projects as assigned.

**Qualifications, Skills, & Abilities**

The qualifications and skills to be successful in this position include:

- Knowledge of OH&S regulations.
- Pursuing a diploma in Occupations Health & Safety or Environmental studies.
- Able to meet deadlines and work safely and efficiently.
- Thrives in working in a team environment, but also has the ability to work well independently.
- Ability to comprehend safety procedures.
- Effective communication skills.
- Fluent spoken and written English skills.
