**Sexual Abuse Treatment Program Permanent, part-time, 40 hours bi-weekly, days**

Marymound’s Sexual Abuse Treatment Program (SATP) is located in a welcoming and safe setting. Our therapists are mentored and supported in the development of specific skills required for the treatment of sexual trauma. They do a comprehensive assessment that takes into consideration the family, cultural and social influences that have an impact on a young person. Therapists provide individualized treatment plans with a variety of modalities, such as psycho-education, play therapy, sensory regulation, individual, group and family therapy, and are able to work with other parts of the system that are involved in the youth’s life to support their recovery. Internal and external supervision is provided.

SATP services young people and their families (when appropriate), aged four to 16 years, who have experienced sexual abuse by a family member or someone else, where:

- There is no contact between the offender and the young person during treatment unless it is part of a planned and supervised reunification process;
- There are no outstanding custody or access issues;
- The parent or primary caregiver is willing to be involved in the young person’s treatment.

This position reports to the Clinical Director and is responsible for assessment, treatment planning and intervention, including family work and system case management as needed.

**Primary responsibilities of the position include**:

- **Sinclair home provides care for boys ages 8-12 years of age.**:

- Provide individualized assessments and treatment interventions for youth
- Develop therapeutic relationship with youth
- Initiate and maintain effective strength based communication
- Collaborate with other disciplines in the delivery of services
- Assess risk and safety plan for / with vulnerable youth
- Participates in peer group supervision
- Participates in monthly team meetings and case consultations
- Facilitate and maintain appropriate record-keeping
- Other duties as outlined on the job description.

**Qualifications**:

- Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or related field
- Two years direct clinical experience working with youth (experience working with sexually exploited youth and survivors of sexual abuse considered an asset)
- Experience developing treatment plans
- Strength based approach to treatment of clients
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of Trauma and Attachment Theory
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities and take initiative
- Ability to build effective work relationships as well as partnerships with external individuals and organizations
- Knowledge and/or experience in Trauma-Informed Care considered an asset
- Willingness to undertake Phase 1 training in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics
- Satisfactory criminal record check and clear child abuse registry with acceptable prior contact check
- Current driver’s license and satisfactory driver’s abstract, First Aid certification
- Knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and beliefs will be considered an asset
- Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST) and Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NVCI) considered assets

Salary Range: A9A Scale $33.37-$40.60
