Summary
The Supervisor IT Infrastructure is responsible for delivering a consistent, reliable, efficient, critical core infrastructure that is utilized throughout the board.
**Responsibilities**:
Reporting to the Manager - Information Technology Services, the Supervisor - IT Infrastructure will:
Oversee IT operational support, including networks, firewalls, telecom operations, and cloud services (e.g., Azure, O365, Intune, TEAMS Phone). Identify improvements, ensure reliability, and respond to service outages.
Enforce network security policies, manage firewalls, develop network segmentation, oversee web content filtering systems to ensure robust security.
Build and manage relationships with external vendors, managed services, and ministry partners.
Lead contract negotiations and procurement of technology products and services.
Manage departmental budgets ensuring efficient use of resources.
Develop and execute strategies for core technologies (network, telecom, servers, backup, and endpoint services) aligned with the organization’s IT goals.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and customer service within the IT support team.
Ensure timely resolution of technical issues, implement ITIL best practices, and drive initiatives to enhance user experiences through training and support resources.
Collaborate with internal and external teams and vendors to maintain robust security measures.
Create and maintain IT Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Lead IT projects, including technology upgrades, system integrations, and infrastructure improvements.
Develop KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of IT services.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and scalability within the organization.
Qualifications and Skills
University degree (preferred) or College Diploma from a recognized college in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business Administration.
Minimum 3-5 years experience managing an IT department or technical project.
Fortinet and Cisco CCNA or equivalent experience required.
IT Service Management (ITIL V3) certification preferred.
PMP, M365, Azure AD, and Microsoft Server & VMWare certifications preferred.
Knowledge of workstation, server, virtual, network, telecommunication technology.
Knowledge of cyber security and disaster recovery best practices.
