**Project Manager, Francophone Programming**

**General Summary**

The Project Manager for Francophone Programming will report to the Director of Programs and Community Partnerships of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Ottawa (BBBSO). The Program Manager will be responsible for the planning and development of one-to-one school and community based mentoring programs for Francophone children and youth.

**Responsibilities/Activities**
- Plan and design the delivery of one-to-one mentoring programs for Francophone children and youth, with input from:

- Executive Director;
- Director of Programs and Community Partnerships;
- Service Delivery Leads;
- Mentoring Coordinators; and,
- Francophone and Bilingual matches.
- Meet with Francophone matches, children/youth, volunteers for input;
- Identify which Francophone school boards, schools, and community organizations would benefit from community and school-based one-to-one mentoring.
- Contact and meet with representatives at Francophone school boards, schools, and community organizations;
- In collaboration with BBBSO Service Delivery staff, draft and sign Memorandums of Understanding (MOU)/ Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) with representatives;
- Contact French translators for quotes, interview as necessary, and decide on one ensuring a backup;
- Support the translation of the website, promotional materials, training resources, intake forms, evaluations, and surveys;
- Populate the website and other materials/documents with French translation;
- Facilitate necessary design edits and changes given the new word counts and layout;
- Finalize French promotional and marketing materials, work with partners to promote one-to-one mentoring program for Francophone children and youth;
- Work with Francophone school boards, schools, and community organizations to recruit Francophone and bilingual mentors;
- Support the training of volunteer mentors with newly translated materials; and,
- Develop and carry out an evaluation for assessing the effectiveness and impact of the program.

**Basic Requirements**
- Post-secondary degree or diploma, or equivalent in Social Service Work, Social Work, Program Development Office Administration, or another related field;
- 3-5 years of previous related experience with program development and evaluation;
- Strong knowledge of MS Office Suite, databases/dashboard management;
- Excellent organizational and time management skills;
- Ability to work effectively with mínimal supervision;
- Good judgement, initiative and excellent interpersonal skills;
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Reflect and respect BBBSO core values;
- Experienced at coordinating communications across multiple departmental teams; and,
- Criminal Records Check (vulnerable sector).

**Work Environment**: Big Brothers Big Sisters Ottawa is a comfortable working environment. The organization’s activities and programs offer exciting changes to work routine throughout the year. This position will include both in-office and remote work. In addition, some evenings and/or weekends may be required.
