**We are looking for a Floor Layer to join our team**

**JOB DESCRIPTION**

**Become a registered apprentice with Skilled Trades BC and work towards a Red Seal Certified Journeyperson certificate, which is recognized across Canada.**

**As a Floor Covering Apprentice you will**:

- **gain on the job experience**:

- **be enrolled in a 3-year, 5400-hour apprenticeship**:

- **be eligible for government grants**:

- **attend 5 weeks of technical training each year**:

- **work on projects in residential, commercial and industrial**:

- **learn to install all types of carpet, resilient and hardwood flooring**

**An applicant who previously completed hours worked related to Floor Covering may qualify for credit that could reduce the term of apprenticeship.**

**The Floor Covering craft can be physically demanding at times, however this is a very rewarding career that instills pride in seeing the finished product of your work. Apprentices work alongside certified journeypersons and receive on the job training.**

**As an apprentice these skills will be learned through on the job work experience and technical training.**

**Salary**: $21.00-$24.00 per hour
