Kitchen Help

**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
McDougall Energy is looking for a high energy, results focused individual as a **Kitchen Help** at **Jeremy’s Truck Stop & Country Restaurant and Esso Retail & Cardlock Fueling Station** located in Nairn Centre, ON.

Reporting to the Site Manager, this position is responsible for:

- Assists with food preparation, washing, peeling, preparing food items.
- Cooking and preparing a variety of fresh nutritious meals and refreshments, stirring, and turning food items as needed.
- Check quality of ingredients and follow portioning preparations standards to ensure consistency for customers.
- During peak hours will assist in the dining room to deliver patrons/customer orders from kitchen, bus tables when required, set tables, and ensure high standards of cleanliness are met.
- Washing dishes, cleaning, and ensuring the kitchen remains clean and hygienic.
- Loads and unloads trucks, checking off and receiving orders, transferring supplies to storage areas.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- High school diploma, Safe Food Handlers Certification an asset.
- Minimum two (2) years kitchen experience preferred.
- Must be able to work independently.
- Must be able to problem solve and to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Understanding of Health & Safety standards and safe food handling processes.
- Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays.
