**About us**

GP Custom Metals is a leader in custom Metal Fabrication and Installation. We are looking to hire a Machinist for our Machine Shop, located in Newmarket. In addition to providing machining services for our fabrication facility, our machine shop also serves as a vendor to clients in a wide range of other industries. Expectations for this position include but are not limited to:

- Set-up and operate various machine shop equipment including lathes and milling machines
- LATHE EXPERIENCE IS A MUST FOR THIS POSITION
- Experience with Conversational Milling Machines an asset (Millpwr, ProTrak)
- Read and interpret drawings
- Troubleshoot and adjust programs and set ups to ensure efficiency and quality
- Machine components from a wide variety of raw materials
- Some heavy lifting
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping at all times
- Perform require maintenance

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
