Buyer - Purchasing

**Reports to**: Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager

**Based at**: Mucci International Marketing Inc., Kingsville, Ontario

**Type of Employment**: Full time, permanent, extended hours depending on workload and priorities, which will include some Saturdays.

**Responsibilities Include**:

- Manage Direct and or Indirect procurement, spend and purchasing, which will include MRO, Corrugate, Resin, CAPEX, and Labels
- Maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Accurately track and monitor all open purchase orders, ensuring pricing, quantity and ship dates are held
- Analyze inventories to determine how to increase inventory flow, reduce waste and develop appropriate safety stock levels
- Ensures inventory control measures are performed in an efficient and timely manner
- Provide regular updates on inbound shipments
- Work with cross functional teams and assist the Inventory Control team with maintaining proper inventory levels.
- Monthly Inventory counting
- Monthly reporting on cost save measures
- Holding suppliers accountable to provided KPI’s
- Other tasks and responsibilities requested by management.

**Qualifications**:

- 2+ years of experience in a Purchasing/Buyer role preferred
- Strong negotiating experience with vendors and suppliers
- Strong computer skills knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Windows and Famous
- Able to perform daily, weekly and monthly reporting and balancing of pallets and crates to suppliers.
- Reporting of inventory and costing at the end of each month using Microsoft Excel
- Strong communication skills with staff and Grower members to ensure the daily supplies of all packaging related materials
- Able to meet Company and or Customer tasks and deadlines.
- Post-secondary business diploma or degree is preferred

**Physical Abilities**:Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy material (up to 50 lbs.). Must be able to climb stairs and stand for extended periods of time. As our facilities are temperature controlled to approximately 55°F or 13°C, must be able to work in that environment.
