Come Grow with Us Forsite is actively looking for a **Forest Technician **with a general understanding and experience with British Columbia forestry practices, based out of our **Smithers, BC **office**.**

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

Under the direction of the Assistant Manager, the Forest Technician is responsible for forest development activities including reconnaissance road/cutblock engineering, ecological and riparian assessments, and completing the associated plans, deliverables, and appraisal packages in a safe, timely, cost effective and professional manner.

**WHAT YOU’LL NEED**
- A safety conscious attitude;
- Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry;
- General understanding and experience with forestry practices in British Columbia;
- Registered or eligible to be registered with the Association of British Columbia Forest Professionals; and
- Valid driver’s license.

- Enthusiastic with a passion for forestry and working outdoors;
- Professional with a friendly and courteous manner, being service and team oriented;
- Able to work both independently under limited direct supervision as well as in a dynamic team environment;
- Effective problem solving with decision making skills.
